Alexandra Holzer studied at some of the best prep schools in New York City attending The Fashion Institute of Technology earning two degrees in Fine Arts and Advertising like her mother before her. It was here where Holzer became a self taught Graphic Designer starting with work in travel ad agencies. Bravely she left to begin her own freelance business named AHG Design in 1999. Recently she was inducted into Marquis Who’s Who in America 2008 62nd Edition, following her father from the 70s. Her father is the original ghost hunter, author Professor Dr. Hans Holzer, Phd of 140 plus titles in the genres of parapsychology, the supernatural, religion, healing and the occult. He is most famous for ‘Murder in Amityville’ with the film adaptation to follow: Amityville II: The Possession. Her mother is an accomplished artist, countess on the Baron side to the Russian Buxhoeveden Family with relations to Catherine The Great, Countess Catherine Buxhoeveden.
Holzer has gone on local investigations but feels her expertise lies not just with haunted homes, places or people but also in getting ‘impressions’ and being ’sensitive’ (a term her father created) to her surroundings. Thus yielding an intuitive paranormal investigator who is also in quest for the unknown with a sense of humor. She grew up haunted and therefore has known nothing else.
Holzer is an author, columnist, paranormalist, spiritual consultant, real ghost whisperer, contributor to other author projects, active in her life for animals and children, developed two paranormal reality TV Show’s (one in development) and is pitching several haunting children’s stories. She can be found on the re-release of the film ‘Poltergeist’ DVD on both featurette sections. She is actively sought after to cohost other show segments and interviews about her life Growing Up Haunted.
In the interim of the new book, Holzer had created her monthly column named ‘Spirit Talk’ for the Paranormal Awareness Society based in Florida and since then was picked up from UFO Digest.com based in Canada and at www.alienseekernews.com from the mid-west.
Holzer also helped to coordinate a Holzer/Buxhoeveden Exhibit for New Orleans Haunted Mortuary Museum, now called The Para-Plex.

Dr. Orloff voices the message that intuition works as a potent therapeutic force that can help us lead smarter, saner lives. She is a serene maverick. USA TODAY
Transforming the face of psychiatry, Judith Orloff, MD is an assistant clinical professor of Psychiatry at UCLA and author of the new New York Times bestseller Emotional Freedom. She synthesizes the pearls of traditional medicine with cutting edge knowledge of intuition, energy, and spirituality to achieve physical and emotional healing. She passionately asserts that we have the power to transform negative emotions and achieve inner peace. She offers practical strategies to overcome frustration, stress, and worry and teaches people how to quiet overactive minds that won’t shut off. Dr. Orloff, who comes from a family of 25 physicians, advocates “a democracy of healing,” wherein every aspect of ourselves is granted a vote in the search for total health.
She has been celebrated for her unique approach to mental well-being by proving that the links between physical, emotional, and spiritual health can’t be ignored. Dr. Orloff is accomplishing for psychiatry what physicians like Dean Ornish and Mehmet Oz have done for mainstream medicine. Dr. Orloff has spoken at medical schools, hospitals, universities, the American Psychiatric Association, Fortune Magazine’s Most Powerful Women Summit, and alternative and traditional health forums venues where she presents tools to doctors, patients, and everyday people.
She graduated USC School of Medicine, completed a four year psychiatric residency program at UCLA, and currently mentors UCLA medical students and psychiatry-residents-in-training. As a board-certified psychiatrist, Dr. Orloff blends her traditional medical skills with intuition to enhance patient care. Her new New York Times bestseller Emotional Freedom (Harmony Books, March, 2009) helps readers liberate themselves from negative emotions and develop hope, compassion, and courage. It is a roadmap for those who are stressed, discouraged, or overwhelmed–and for those who are in a good emotional place but want to feel better.
As Dr. Orloff shows, each day presents opportunities for us to be heroes in our own lives: to turn away from negativity, react constructively, and seize command of any situation. Her previous bestsellers include Positive Energy, Guide to Intuitive Healing, and Second Sight, and a trilogy of books exploring new breakthroughs in intuition, energy, and how to combat an epidemic of exhaustion overtaking our world. Positive Energy is a national and Los Angeles Times bestseller which has been translated into 24 languages.
